Welcome to YouPickBest. By accessing or using our service, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service.

1. Service Overview

YouPickBest is a quiz platform that enables users to create ranking quizzes and vote through tournament-style comparisons. Accounts are optional for voting but required for creating content.

2. User Accounts

You may create an account using one of the following methods:

• Email and password — you create a username, provide your email, and set a password
• Magic link — you provide your email and sign in via a one-time link sent to your inbox
• Google sign-in — you authenticate through your Google account
• Apple sign-in — you authenticate through your Apple account

When using magic link authentication, your account security depends on the security of your email account. You are responsible for keeping your email account secure.

When using Google sign-in, your authentication is subject to Google's own terms and security practices. We receive limited profile information from Google (see our Privacy Policy for details).

When using Apple sign-in, your authentication is subject to Apple's own terms and security practices. If you use Apple's "Hide My Email" feature, we will use the relay email address provided by Apple. We receive limited profile information from Apple (see our Privacy Policy for details).

Additional account responsibilities:

• You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account
• You are responsible for all activities that occur under your account
• You must provide accurate information when creating an account
• You must not share magic link emails with others — each link is for single use by the intended recipient
• You must be at least 13 years old to use this service

3. Content Ownership

You retain ownership of any content you create and post on YouPickBest. By posting content, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to display, distribute, and modify your content as necessary to operate and improve the service.

4. User-Generated Content & Zero Tolerance

YouPickBest is a community platform. Users may create rankings, post comments, and interact with other users' content. You are solely responsible for all content you submit.

Zero tolerance policy. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content and abusive behavior on YouPickBest. This includes but is not limited to: hate speech, harassment, sexual content, graphic violence, spam, and the targeting or abuse of other users. Violations may result in immediate content removal and permanent account ban.

Reporting content. If you encounter content that violates these Terms, you can report it directly within the app. Select the report option on any ranking, comment, or user profile. Our moderation team reviews every report.

Blocking users. You may block any user at any time. Blocking prevents their content from appearing in your feed and prevents further interaction. Blocked users are not notified.

Our moderation commitment. We will review reported content and take appropriate action — including removing violating content and ejecting offending users — within 24 hours of a report being submitted. Users who are banned are immediately locked out of the service and their content is removed from all public listings.

Your use of this service indicates agreement with this policy.

5. Prohibited Content

The following content is prohibited on YouPickBest:

• Illegal material or content that violates any laws
• Content that infringes on intellectual property rights
• Spam or automated content
• Malware or malicious code
• Deceptive or misleading content
• Harassment, hate speech, or abusive content
• Sexually explicit or violent content

We reserve the right to remove any content that violates these terms.

6. User Conduct

You agree not to:

• Use the service for any illegal purpose
• Attempt to gain unauthorized access to the service
• Interfere with or disrupt the service
• Collect user information without consent
• Impersonate others or misrepresent your affiliation

7. Limitation of Liability

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.

We are not liable for:

• Indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages
• Loss of data or profits
• Issues arising from user-generated content
• Service interruptions or disruptions

Our maximum liability is limited to $100 or the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim, whichever is lower.

8. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless YouPickBest and its affiliates from any claims, damages, or expenses arising from your use of the service or content you post.

9. Changes to Terms

We may modify these terms at any time. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new terms. We will notify users of significant changes through the platform.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to terminate or suspend your access to the service at any time, with or without cause, and with or without notice.

11. Third-Party Services

Our service integrates with third-party services for authentication and analytics. By using these features, you also agree to the terms of those services:

We are not responsible for the practices or policies of third-party services.

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where YouPickBest operates.
